Join us on Saturday, October 1, as we celebrate First Responders with the City of Cohoes on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel. St. Michael is the patron saint of military and police. The celebration will include educating children and adults on services provided by First Responders.

• Mass at 11am, featuring our First Responders as readers and Eucharistic ministers!
• Free lunch from Noon to 2:30pm, including hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni salad, potato chips, kapusta, water, coffee, and desserts!
• And fun for the whole family, including games for children and educational demonstrations!

First Responder Appreciation and Feast of St. Michael Poster Contest

• Theme: St. Michael First Responder Day (police, firefighters, emergency medical services)
  
• Suggested materials: Poster or foam board, markers, crayons, paint, clay, chalk, miniature toys, legos, small lights, graphics, photos
  
• You must be under 16 to participate!
  
• User your imagination! Be creative and colorful! Have fun!
• Rules: No copyrighted content, nothing disrespectful or political, and keep to the theme.
• Prizes:
  • 1st - $30 The Planter, Cohoes (plant your own terrarium)
  • 2nd - $20 Nellie's Treats, Cohoes (bakery)
  • 3rd - Sweet Happy Days, Cohoes (ice cream parlor)
• All posters will be on display at the Celebration
• Posters will be judged by the Celebration committee
• Submit all posters by September 28 at 2pm to Julia Clairmont or Kathleen Burns at St. Michael's Parish Office
